Currently in its 8th printing, the book has been sold to nine foreign countries and has sales over 200,000 copies.

A #1 New York Times bestseller in both hardcover and paperback, the book is currently in its 32nd printing with sales exceeding 1.2 million copies.

Made into a feature film in 1996, starring Brad Pitt, Robert DeNiro, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Bacon, Minnie Driver, and Jason Patric, Lorenzo served as co-producer on the project, which was directed by Academy Award winner Barry Levinson. To date, the movie has earned in excess of $500 million worldwide in combined box-office, video, DVD, and TV sales.

A New York Times bestseller in both hardcover and paperback, the book has sold more than 375,000 copies in paperback alone, and has been optioned by producer Jerry Bruckheimer, with Carcaterra slated to serve as Associate Producer on the project.

GANGSTER (fiction) - 2001 - Ballantine Books, a division of Random House.
Paperback - 2002 - Ballantine Books, a division of Random House.

The hardback edition has sold more than 200,000 copies in the U.S. and U.K. combined. Its mass market paperback edition was released by Ballantine in the summer of 2002, and has sold more than 250,000 copies. The book has also been sold to a dozen foreign countries.

The book was optioned in manuscript by Joe Roth and Revolution Studios.

The book was sold in March 2001 to Warner Bros./Bel-Air Entertainment for a record-setting book pitch. Lorenzo wrote the first draft of the screenplay and was named an executive producer on the project.
